The environment at Sports Force Parks is fun and engaging. They set the internship program up so that you are learning something new every week. With the summer months being their busiest, you are always learning new things at events from tournaments, collegiate wood-bat leagues, and more.
What I wish was different
The housing and stipend pay.
Advice
Be prepared to work some long weeks. This internship is definitely worth the experience. Just take advantage of every opportunity you get. You'll only get out of it what you put in.

Being able to work with managers to learn the operations side of a tournament.
What I wish was different
I wish I was able to be more involved in tournament operations earlier on. As the summer went, I was able to do more and more to organize and run tournaments.
Advice
Days and weeks may feel like forever but it was an experience I'm glad I was able to share with the other interns.

Retail
June - September 2020 • Sandusky, OH
What I liked
Flexible hours, laid-back staff, fun environment, and ability to call off when needed.
What I wish was different
I wish I didn’t have to work 11-12 hour days, that we didn’t have to deal with COVID-19 protocols and that COVID-19 didn’t cancel tournaments.
Advice
It’s the perfect summer job. Be polite no matter what. It may be hectic dealing with people visiting the park at times, but you get people like that no matter where you work. Make the best out of it and make new friends, it will make working more enjoyable.
