What I liked
This was by far my best work experience to date. I was able to demonstrate my filmmaking abilities by producing promotional videos for the company, practice my editing techniques and curate digital content that was used on Daymond John's social media, and learn from and collaborate with departments that I was curious about such as marketing and social media.
What I wish was different
It would have been nice to have been paid for this internship, but I still feel the experience was undoubtedly worth it anyway.
Advice
One piece of advice I would share is to be proactive and go out of your comfort zone. I landed this internship by being persistent and applying to as many internships as I could online, and once I started working I went out of my way to interact with as many people in the office as possible so that I could make the most of this learning experience.
