Go-to-Market Intern

June - August 2023 • Baltimore, MD

What I liked

The Rookie (Internship) Program is an incredibly enriching and well-organized experience. The company did a great job pivoting to remote/hybrid work, creating Rookie Week to bring all interns together to Baltimore. There was an amazing combination of networking, professional development, and company activities, even outside of Rookie Week. I would highly recommend this program.

What I wish was different

Advice

As an intern, I would take advantage of all the events to learn more and network. Company leadership values interns and they take the time to actually have a conversation.

Sales Associate

February 2021 • Meridian, ID

What I liked

The team is really great to work with. The company also takes care of their employees well. There are fun competitions and is overall a fun, upbeat place to work.

What I wish was different

I wish we didn't have to enforce athletes to wear masks for so long. We had a lot of unhappy people and business turned away. No one want's to deal with that many unhappy people in a day.

Advice

Get to know the people you work with at the very start. It will allow you to have a great time. Also do what you are asked, the tasks are not hard. It also helps to always be busy, makes the job more enjoyable.

Sourcing Services Intern

May - August 2021 • Baltimore, MD

What I liked

I loved the culture. They gave me the opportunity to create something special without delegating busy work all of the time. I was able to truly put an emphasis on my semester long project and build rapport with personnel throughout the company network. Also, the team is very inviting and helpful. It was truly an experience I will cherish going into this next stage of my career.

What I wish was different

I wish that the internship was not virtual, but due to covid we had to be. However, they found ways to help us engage with other interns and leaders within the organization.

Advice

Branch out and don't be afraid to try something that is not necessarily in your career path, because it could lead you to where you need to be and not where you want to be. I pursued an internship with a company that I truly like and buy merchandise from. Finding an employer whom you have a connection with even before the first interview makes the experience even more memorable.

Finance Sports Marketing Intern

May - August 2021 • Baltimore, MD

What I liked

I liked the work I was doing and the people I worked with. I had a great manager and got to work closely with and learn about athlete contracts and Under Armour's partners. I developed my Microsoft Office skills and participated in interesting conversations throughout the summer.

What I wish was different

I wish the experience was in person. The experience was virtual, so I did not get a chance to interact closely with the other interns and other people in the office.

Advice

Take advantage of the professionals at Under Armour. Ask a lot of questions, and do not be afraid to ask about specific topics or projects you are interested in. As someone who was interested in sports, I got to interact with a lot of interesting data and talk to professionals who have relationships with UA's athletes.

What I liked

Under Armour's work culture is amazing. Most employees are fairly young and everyone has a love for sports and fashion. Everyone is so nice and willing to talk or help with anything. I loved everything about this internship program and I think it is more than deserving of its recognition for being one of the top programs in the country.
