Working directly with the corporate strategy team at Utica National Insurance Group on different projects such as conceptualizing a mobile app incorporating useful tools for agents. I got a great look at just about every section of the company. Hearing firsthand from Utica National Employees got me more interested and excited about the insurance industry.
What I wish was different
Unfortunately, due to COVID the internship was fully remote. I wish that we could have been in the office, but Utica National did a great job exposing the interns to the company culture and business values.
Advice
Utica National has a great company culture, so do not be afraid to connect with employees and let them know you are interested in their area of the company. If you work hard at Utica National they will recognize you!
