What I liked

The learning experience, being hands-on, working with people with varying degrees of experience

Advice

Ask lots of questions! That's the only way to learn

Research Intern

May 2019 • Baltimore, MD

What I liked

I was doing real writing and contextualizing data using open-source history rather than usual academic sources - a lot of my work was based on gathering knowledge of broad historical political and economic conditions rather than gathering specific arguments from previous researchers. This allowed me substantial flexibility and allowed me to form theories of my own, instead of just combining previous opinions of 'more qualified' individuals.
