“I had complete ownership of the project I was assigned to, and my manager outlined a weekly plan to make sure I am on track. I mostly liked my manager's hands-off style, it gave me a lot of flexibility to read up on the research project. Thanks to his management style, I could produce patent-worthy work by the end of summer. I loved the collegial environment in the R&D center, and everyone was very friendly and supportive to the interns. I got multiple opportunities to present my work both at group meetings and in client meetings. My mentor assigned through the internship program was in Marketing, which helped me get a better sense of the company operation beyond R&D. The location was great, and the pay was comfortable to spend the summer in the bay area. ”
