What I liked
PwC gave us actual associate level work. The internship gave a sneak peek of what is actually to come during full-time work.
What I wish was different
Overall the internship was great and offered many different learning experiences. If I could change one thing it would be to have a chance to pick from a few of different teams to work with during the internship.
Advice
For any internship you participate in, be involved and don't be timid. If you are invited to socials or events after work go to them! Do not think just because it is an internship and you are getting paid that you cannot have fun.

What I liked
I liked their system, professionalism, and care for clients/work. The work environment is also very nice and welcoming.
What I wish was different
Nothing. PwC delivered everything I expected and more. I also did everything I proposed myself to do and more.
Advice

Core Assurance Intern
June - August 2018 • Louisville, KY
What I liked
I liked that they treated us as equals and allowed us to work on similar projects that other staff were and did not give us busy work. I also really enjoyed that they offered you with clear categories of areas to improve in in a quick and professional fashion. They sit down with you face to face and discuss how you can improve to better yourself and make your time at PwC fulfilling.
What I wish was different
I wish I could've gotten the chance to visit a few of the offices near by that worked on the same audit client to see what the other locations are like.
Advice
Definitely go somewhere you've never been before, I wish I had done it to not only expand my network but to also just experience new things. PwC offers so much to their interns and staff and I am very glad I made the choice to join their team.

Accounting Intern
June - August 2019 • Rochester, NY
What I liked
This internship was amazing. I was able to shadow in tax and audit to get a feel for the type of work I could be doing in the future. I also made many connections and relationships with the people at the firm including seniors and partners.
What I wish was different
I wish this internship was longer. Also there was some down time during the internship where I wish there could have been more hands on work to do.
Advice
One piece of advice I would share about this experience is being an intern, you are learning so many things so I would make sure to ask many questions. Also don’t forget to network and make connections with seniors and others so they will remember you and you
can leave a lasting impression.

External Audit Intern
June - August 2022 • Dallas, TX
What I liked
I loved the hands-on experience and being on an engagement team over the summer. I had lots of fun with my intern group as well, and I can't wait to be back again in the spring. I went with the hybrid model, and we could decide when and if we wanted to work at the office.
What I wish was different
I wish my team went into the office more because only the associate would go in once or twice per week. Another thing I wish was more in-person events for interns to interact more besides the first week of foundations training.
Advice
I would say be as positive and proactive as you can and be happy to be there to work and learn!

Risk Assurance Intern
June - August 2018 • Tampa, FL
What I liked
The culture of the company and how they care for your personal and professional development.
What I wish was different
That the experience could have been ongoing.
Advice
They don't expect you to know anything. Interning at a Big 4 can feel intimidating, but a lot of the people have been in those shoes and are willing and able to be your mentors. In fact, they pair you with a relationship partner, a career coach (usually a manager), and a peer buddy (usually a associate).

Accounting Intern
June - August 2018 • Charlotte, NC
What I liked
It gave me an amazing opportunity to network with professionals in my industry as well as others in relevant industries along with phenomenal real world job experience.
What I wish was different
I wish the experience was longer, it was 7 weeks as oppose to the typical 8-10 weeks for most internships.
Advice
It is important to take the initiative to gain access to as many experiences as possible during the course of your internship, if you have some free time go around the office and see if the associate you met in the break room needs some help on a project. Make yourself a valuable resource.
